I use Windows 10

Microsoft discontinued support for the Windows 10 operating system on October 14, 2025. If you use Windows 10, your ESET Windows home applications may be outdated and approaching End of Life status. Upgrade to Windows 11.

The 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows 10 is no longer supported. The last compatible version of ESET Windows home applications is 18.2, which remains supported until its End of Life date on October 31, 2026.

Notification

Standard support for Windows 10 has ended, but personal/consumer devices in the European Economic Area and Switzerland qualify for a free one-year file extension of security updates until October 13, 2026. This exception does not apply to business or enterprise users, who must enroll in the paid Extended Security Updates (ESU) program to remain protected.

Do these steps in order:

Step one

Do you have the latest Windows 10 updates or are updates active?

If you are running Windows 10 and automatically get updates, you do not need to do anything. Windows Update will download and install the update. To ensure your device is up to date, navigate to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and see your update status and available updates.

Step three

Manual upgrade

If the automatic upgrade is not enabled or was not successful, you must install the latest version manually. Upgrade your ESET Windows home application to the latest version.
