Version 14 of ESET home products planned shutdown
ESET plans to terminate version 14 of Windows home products following multiple forced upgrade campaigns run during previous years. This is part of an ongoing initiative to discontinue old and unsupported ESET products for Windows. These products have been in End of life status for more than a year and will be in the same state for two years at the time of the shutdown. We recommend updating your product to the latest version to stay protected.
Affected products:
•ESET NOD32 Antivirus
•ESET Internet Security
•ESET Smart Security Premium
After shutdown, the product will remain installed on the user's device; however, it will no longer receive module or detection engine updates.
Users of version 14 of ESET home products will not be protected against new threats after the date of shutdown. |
ESET has migrated most of its users to the latest version of its products through forced upgrade campaigns over the past two years. However, some users still continue to use an earlier version, which is affected by the planned shutdown. To inform these users, ESET is preparing in-product messaging campaigns. The shutdown is scheduled for the end of September 2024. The exact date will be communicated in advance.
