Discontinuation of Share a subscription feature in ESET HOME
What changed?
As of the October 2025 major release, the Share a subscription feature has been discontinued and removed from the ESET HOME user interface.
Transition Period
ESET will gradually phase out support for existing automatic shares throughout 2026. During this time:
•Existing shares and invites remain visible in ESET HOME.
•You can remove existing shares at any time.
How to protect others now
You can still protect devices belonging to friends or family using the Add protection feature.
Note: Unlike the previous sharing feature, users added via Add protection cannot manage the subscription settings; they only receive the product protection.
