ESET Security Management Center 7.2 reached End of Life

ESET PROTECT 8.x reached End of Life and 9.x–10.x have Limited Support

MSP administrators have to do these steps in order

important

You can directly upgrade to ESET PROTECT On-Prem 11.0 from ESET PROTECT On-Prem 9.0 and later.

A direct upgrade from the End of Life versions 7.2–8.x is possible, but it has not been tested and is not officially supported.

step-1

Upgrade to ESET PROTECT On-Prem 11.0

If you installed ESET PROTECT On-Prem on a Windows device using the All-in-one installer, use the ESET PROTECT On-Prem 11.0 All-in-one installer to upgrade.

For all other update scenario procedures, refer to the Upgrade, migration and reinstallation procedures section of the ESET PROTECT On-Prem Install Online Help guide.

important

Apache HTTP Proxy users

Starting with ESET PROTECT On-Prem 10.0, ESET Bridge replaces Apache HTTP Proxy. Apache HTTP Proxy has reached Limited Support. If you use Apache HTTP Proxy, we recommend migrating to ESET Bridge.

step-2

Upgrade ESET Management Agents on all managed computers to version 11.0

note

If you are also using the MDM component, follow the MDM upgrade steps for the MDM component upgrade procedure before you upgrade the ESET Management Agents.

Follow the Upgrade to the latest ESET Management Agents using the Components Upgrade Task in ESET PROTECT Knowledgebase article.

step-3

Upgrade the ESET Endpoints to the latest version

Follow the instructions for your customers and/or endpoints; see Endpoints managed by ESET PROTECT On-Prem/ESMC/ERA.

important

We strongly recommend that you run the latest versions of supported operating systems on computers in your network.

You can use ESET PROTECT On-Prem to manage computers running unsupported Windows operating systems (for example, Windows Vista or Windows XP) with ESET products in Limited Support, but some remote management limitations may occur. We do not guarantee the functionality of earlier ESET products after they reach their End of Life.
