Update Windows 10

Do these steps in order:

Do you have the latest Windows 10 updates, or are updates active?

To ensure your device is up to date, click Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and see your update status and available updates.

Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. Personal devices can receive security updates until October 12, 2027, through the consumer Extended Security Updates (ESU) program. In the European Economic Area (EEA), enrollment in the consumer ESU program is free. To keep receiving security updates, sign in to your device with a Microsoft account. The consumer ESU program does not apply to organizations. Organizations must buy commercial ESU licenses to receive security updates.

Verify you are using the latest versions of ESET endpoint applications.

Use the latest application version to prevent other issues

Enable Auto-updates on your ESET application.

If the Auto-update fails or you cannot use it at the time, follow these steps to install the latest version:

Version 12.1 is the last version of ESET Endpoint applications that supports 32-bit Windows 10. The 32-bit installer installs version 12.1, not the latest version. For more information, refer to Support for the 32-bit version of Windows 10 will be phased out.

Download ESET Endpoint Antivirus:

64-bit: latest version

32-bit: version 12.1

Download ESET Endpoint Security:

64-bit: latest version

32-bit: version 12.1
